The Countess de Dia, a gentle and beautiful woman, was the wife of Guillem de Poitiers. She fell in love with Rimbaud d'Orange to whom she dedicated many beautiful love songs. This is the biography of this 12th century Occitan bard, one among the few troubadour women who did not have the same fortune as their male counterparts. They placed love at the centre of life, being well aware that men and women are different, and express their feelings differently. “Trobairitz” is a puppet show that brings to life the figure of Beatriu, the Countess of Dia, who dared to sing about love, with the typical games proper of the puppet booth, poetic farces and chivalrous slapstick.
